The 35-year-old from Bahia wants to see accurate passing and a high tempo when the Alvinegro take on Unión Española at the Maracanã on Wednesday.

Jorge Wagner believes that the home crowd will help make the Maracanã a fortress as Borafogo look to secure their passage to the next round of the Copa Libertadores with victory this week.

“We are used to playing in the stadium and are very strong there. The teams that come to play us know this.”

“It’s time that show what we’re really about, with a game of quick passing, lots of pressure and tight marking.”

“We won’t give the opposition any space,” declared the determined number 10.

Botafogo currently top Group 2 with seven points from four games whilst Unión sit in second, just one point behind.
