The centre-back was livid following his side’s 4-3 defeat to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday evening and was quick to criticise referee Undiano Mallecano.

In his post-match interview with reporters, Sergio Ramos revealed his frustrations and is convinced that Real Madrid was robbed of the win.

“It was a very stressful Clasico.  There’s no need to make excuses.”

“Coincidentally, they’re always the good guys.  I hope Undiano doesn’t officiate another one of our matches for the remainder of the season.   We were robbed.  Whoever needs to take notice, please do.  Please let us fight for the titles,” said the 27-year-old in comments likely to land him in hot water.

“Cristiano’s penalty was outside.  In Xabi’s penalty, there was contact but it wasn’t a penalty.  Neymar was looking for me to make contact and he started in an offside position.  We need to digest this defeat.  If they wanted balance in La Liga, they succeeded.”

“It’s a shame but there are things which are premeditated and things you can’t fight against.  They need to be more prudent when selecting referees.  There are some who are capable of performing at the highest level and others who aren’t.  They need to choose the one who have that certain level.”

“We have to respond and not allow ourselves to hang out heads.  We go home with a sense of powerlessness because we could have gotten a great result.  Real Madrid will keep fighting for La Liga.  Through the bad, we’ll continue pressing on.  We need to win on Wednesday,” completed the Spain international.
