Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Pradè has revealed he hopes new midfielder Anderson will be able to sign permanently in the summer.

The Brazilian has recently joined Viola on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season and made his debut at the weekend coming off the substitutes bench.

Anderson has spoken about his desire to stay in Florence if he impresses enough during his loan and Pradè appears to be on the same wavelength.

Football Italia quoted the Viola chief, who said: “We’re starting with a loan deal, but our intention is to stay together for a long time.

“We were looking for a different type of midfielder.

“Anderson is great at getting himself into spaces, has a great left foot and is exactly what we wanted.”

The 25-year-old was only on the pitch for 15 minutes at the weekend against Genoa but impressed, making two key passes and attempting a successful dribble.

It seems if he continues impressing and is given an extended run in the first team he could be set for a long stay in Florence.
