AC Milan midfielder Kaka is believed to be set for a place on the bench next weekend as he continues to return to full fitness.

The Brazilian has seen his return to the San Siro this season somewhat tempered by injury with a thigh strain picked up in mid-September.

However, reports in Italy today suggest that the 31-year-old is nearly for a return and will make the bench for Milan’s home fixture with Udinese next Saturday evening, reports Football Italia.

Whilst medical staff at the club have been seen as cautious in their treatment of the attacking midfielder, it is understood that on from possibly featuring in the Udinese game, Kaka will be available for the midweek Champions League meeting to follow at home to Barcelona.

Since picking up his thigh strain midway through last month, the player had opted not to be paid until fully fit again.
