Manchester United defender Rafael da Silva insists he wants to stay at the club.
Recent reports have suggested that Corinthians were interested in taking the 23 year-old back to Brazil.
A return to his homeland could enhance Rafael’s chances of an international recall, ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
The full-back insists, however, that he intends to remain at Manchester United.
“I am not thinking about leaving Manchester United, especially since I did well last season,” he told Lancenet.
“There is no reason to leave now, I am playing here, I am a starter and I don’t intend to return to Brazil.”
Rafael started a Premier League game for the first time on Saturday, as Manchester United came from behind to defeat Sunderland 2-1.
