Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu has praised the contribution of Brazilian trio Douglas Costa, Luiz Adriano and Taison in his side’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
After Danny Welbeck had given David Moyes"s men an early lead, it was Taison who netted the equaliser on 76 minutes.
Lucescu insisted all three were key to the result.
"Taison and Douglas [Costa] looked good in the second half; Adriano made life difficult for their central defenders and had a hand in our goal," he told UEFA.com.
The draw leaves Shakhtar and Manchester United level on four points, with Bayer Leverkusen on three close behind. Real Sociedad complete Group A, but are yet to register.
Taison joined Shakhtar from Metalist Kharkiv for £12.4 million in January. Luiz Adriano has been with the Ukrainian Premier League champions since 2007, while Douglas Costa left Grêmio to sign in 2010. Overall, Lucescu has ten Brazilians at his disposal.
