Naldo says that Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking has encouraged him to become more of a leader on the pitch.
The Brazilian has been perceived to be a quiet and solitary figure on the pitch and he admits that he needs to have more of a presence with teammates.
“I need to be louder. The coach told me that I need to be more of a boss; to be louder,” Naldo told reporters.
“I was always a player who has not dealt with teammates. But we need more players who do this. I have the confidence for it. But I also say to the young players that they should talk a lot. Nobody should hide. I had to learn that too.
“It was missing part of last season. Since the players have spoken too little. If it’s always the same, that’s a problem. You can have a bad day, then rest. We all need to communicate more.”
