Former Milan boss Arrigo Sacchi feels Barcelona new-boy Neymar could struggle at Camp Nou like Zlatan Ibrahimović.
The 21-year-old completed his long-awaited switch from Santos to Europe earlier this summer, as the Liga champions shelled out €57 million for his services.
But Sacchi has warned that the Brazil sensation could struggle to adapt to the style of play in Spain like Ibrahimović, who left after just one season following his €69.5m move from Inter in 2009.
“I don’t know how Neymar will do at Barcelona,” Sacchi was quoted as saying by Marca, as reported on Goal.com.
“At Barca, the style of play is more important than anything else. We will have to wait and see if Neymar fits in.
“All I’m saying is that you don’t know how something will pan out. Just look at what happened with Ibrahimovic.
“He had all the talent to play at Barca, yet in the end he did not fit in with the rest of the players.”
The Sweden international joined Milan permanently in 2011, after a season-long loan, before moving to current club Paris Saint-Germain in 2012, where he won the Ligue 1 title last season.
