Tottenham’s goalkeeper Gomes has admitted that he would welcome a return to Dutch league club PSV.

The former Cruzeiro player was loaned to Hoffenheim last season as he could not establish himself in Tottenham’s first team.

Gomes talked with The Sun about his situation, he said: “My situation at Tottenham is not good.

“I can leave on a free, even though I have a year left on my contract. I have told them I want to go.”

The goalkeeper admits he would like to return to PSV, he said: “I would love to rejoin PSV. It would feel great to return as I spent wonderful years with them.

“I feel fitter than ever. I’m in my early 30s and I can still perform. If PSV want me, I would say yes.”

Gomes has also previously been linked to Vasco, but the Brazilian international transfer window closed yesterday.
