Philippe Coutinho scored a superb strike to secure all three points for Liverpool on the final day of the Premier League campaign as they ran out 1-0 winners against QPR.

QPR had already been relegated prior to the clash and Liverpool were already confirmed as finishing in seventh place but the Reds went all out from the beginning.

17-year-old Jordon Ibe was handed his debut as club legend Jamie Carragher played his last game for the Reds at Anfield.

But the game was won with a single moment of magic as Coutinho received the ball from Ibe and struck a 30-yard effort past Robert Green in goal.

Liverpool could have and should have had more but the chances passed them by without another goal as QPR looked like a side destined for relegation.

But the Reds didn’t need another and Coutinho adds to his tally of three goals since his move from Inter in January.
