Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez says he expects Ramires to return from injury in time to face Europa League opponents Basel in the second leg at Stamford Bridge this week.

Ramires limped off after just 24 minutes of the 2-0 win over Swansea City, which came courtesy of a fine finish from Oscar and a Lampard penalty.

The Brazilian twice went down injured in the early stages of the routine win over the Welsh side at Stamford Bridge.

But Benitez said: “I think he will be fine. It was just a kick on his leg so he will be fine for Thursday.”

Benitez was also untroubled by apparent injuries to Demba Ba and David Luiz, who both looked to be struggling with slight knocks during the match.

“I think they will be fine. They didn’t say anything to me.”
