Flamengo"s new board is already planning how the squad can be strengthened for the Brazilian National First Divisionthat will start in May.
The club"s executive director Paulo Pelaipe told press: “we have already started working harder to strengthten the squad for the Brasileirão. We"ll sign players that are good enough to be starters".
Manager Jorginho admits they see the need of signing a new striker, he said: “we lack players in that position, we have only one target man. Our forwards move a lot, are fast but don"t they aren"t target men".
He added: “We are are from our goals as a team, we lack players, I need time to evaluate them, to see who I can count with, there will be more changes in the future".
Jorginho also wants a new right-back: “Luiz Antônio is not a right-back, so forget him, he won"t play games [as a right-back] although he is useful during the training practice".
