Ronaldo has been hired by Brazilian TV channel Rede Globo to work as a pundit during the Confederations Cup in June.

The three-time World Player of the Year will also work as a pundit during the World Cup next year as well as participate in a Globo program called Central da Copa, which will have a special Confederations Cup edition.

Ronaldo is excited about the new project, he told press: “It will be a great honor to transmit some of my national team and foreign football experience”.

The former Cruzeiro, Corinthians and Barcelona striker is not the first Brazilian star to work as a pundit.

Romário worked for Record during the Pan American Games in 2011 and the Olympic Games last year.

Former Corinthians and Brazil national team player Casagrande also currently works for Globo, while Caio Ribeiro works for cable TV channel Sportv and is one of the commentators in the Brazilian Portuguese version of FIFA 13.
