Al-Ahli striker Grafite has revealed that he would be open to a move to the MLS this summer.

The Brazil international moved to the Middle East in 2011 following four seasons in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.

However, with his contract expiring in June, the 33-year-old is now pondering a move to North America.

He told Goal.com: “It would be nice to play the championship in the USA. The league is growing and I think I could help in this growth.

“My agent is responsible for taking care of my future and my contract with Al-Ahli ends in June."

Despite his fantastic club form, the veteran striker does not believe that he will be able to add to his four international caps.

He added: “My story in the Brazilian team was short. With my age is hard to be called-up now. But in 55 matches, I have scored 53 times and I"m doing well here."

Grafite is remembered by most for his goalscoring exploits in Wolfsburg"s shock league win in 2009, and he looks back fondly on the campaign in which he scored 28 goals.

“Wolfsburg had a great team. Felix Magath got the best of us and with [Zvjezdan] Misimovic, [Edin] Dzeko and me up front, we hit the goals record and won the Bundesliga in 2009.

“At the start of the second half of the season, we were in the middle of the table. But we got a lot of great wins and we started to believe we could win the title. And we were right."
