Former Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari has revealed that he left the club because of problems with some of the players.
The 64-year-old became the first World Cup winning coach to manage in the Premier League when he took charge of the Blues in 2008.
However, Scolari was sacked after just seven months in charge, which he puts down to problems with the players, rather than with sack-happy chairman Roman Abramovich.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “The results were not spectacular, but they were decent. I had problems with two or three players that made it difficult for me to stay.
“Abramovich was not a problem. He was a good president, never intruded. For me it was sad to leave English football, I liked the organisation, the fans, and the style of the club."
The Brazil coach will return to Stamford Bridge on March 25 as the Seleção take on Russia in an international friendly, which Blues stars Ramires, Oscar and David Luiz will participate in.
Scolari also spoke of his fellow coaches that he holds in high regard, including a former Chelsea boss.
He added: “[Jose] Mourinho is one for sure, [Pep] Guardiola another, [Vicente] Del Bosque was voted best coach in the world and [Sir Alex] Ferguson is the best of the past 20 years."
