Marcelo made his return to the starting lineup as Real Madrid secured a 2-1 win over Celta Vigo in the La Liga clash at the Estadio de Balaídos thanks to a controversial penalty decision.

Cristiano Ronaldo netted two strikes either side of a Iago Aspas strike in a game that was marred with controversy over Real’s second goal.

After a quiet first-half, Ronaldo ignited the match with a close range finish after Xabi Alonso’s long range effort was diverted into his path.

Just minutes later, Celta Vigo equalised through Iago Aspas after some good work from Augusto Fernandez.

Real coach Jose Mourinho then rang the changes as Kaká was introduced to the play and the Brazilian won a penalty minutes later which Ronaldo converted for his second of the evening.

The penalty arrived in controversial circumstances as TV replays showed the Real Madrid player had gone down rather dramatically under a challenge.

But Real closed out the game and secure another three points in their campaign as they chase rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
