Luiz Felipe Scolari has announced his latest Seleção squad to face Russia and Italy in friendlies later this month.

The biggest news is the recall of Real Madrid’s Kaká, who was left out of the previous squad that took on England at Wembley last month.

Grêmio’s Fernando and Atlético Madrid’s Diego Costa are in line for international debuts while Chelsea’s David Luiz, Oscar and Ramires are included.

Surprisingly, Atlético Mineiro’s Ronaldinho has been dropped from Scolari’s plans after his penalty miss against England despite the Brazil boss’ reassurances that he would receive more playing time.

Ronaldinho’s club team-mate Bernard also misses out on a call up despite his recent excellent form as does São Paulo’s Luís Fabiano.

Manchester United’s Rafael and Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva are also omitted from the latest squad.

Brazil will face Italy on March 21 in Geneva, Switzerland before travelling to England to take on Russia at Stamford Bridge on March 25.

Squad to face Russia and Italy:

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar, Diego Cavalieri.

Defenders: Dani Alves, Filipe Luis, Dante, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Dedé, Marcelo.

Midfielders: Ralf, Paulinho, Ramires, Hernanes, Kaka, Oscar, Fernando, Jean, Luiz Gustavo.

Strikers: Neymar, Lucas, Hulk, Fred, Diego Costa.
