Palmeiras executive director José Carlos Brunoro has ruled out a move for Grêmio forward Marcelo Moreno.
The Serie B outfit are currently in search of a new striker after selling Hernán Barcos to Grêmio last month.
Moreno was believed to be top of Palmeiras’ wish list, but Brunoro insists the Paulista club will now look elsewhere as the Bolivia international’s wage demands are too high.
”We are not negotiating,” Brunoro told Lancenet. ”We are on stand-by at the moment, searching for other options.”
”We don’t discard good players, but Moreno’s price is too high.”
