Dante played the entire game as Bayern Munich continued their impressive recent form with a 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund thanks to a Arjen Robben strike in the first half.
The Brazilian started the game at the heart of the Bayern defence alongside Daniel Van Buyten and successfully kept a clean sheet.
Compatriot Luiz Gustavo also featured in a cameo role in the dying stages as the Brazilian came on for Thomas Muller.
The win is Bayern’s 13th straight victory, having also won all their games in 2013, as they march on relentlessly towards the Bundesliga title.
Dante has been in good form for the German side and was rewarded recently with a call up to the Seleção which saw him make his national debut in the 2-1 defeat to England.
The Brazilian signed for Bayern in the summer for a fee of €4.7m from Borussia Moenchengladbach.
