Ronaldinho Gaúcho was in top form as he laid on two assists in Atlético Mineiro’s 2-1 win over São Paulo in the Copa Libertadores clash at the Mineirão.

The Seleção star showed his skills to get behind the São Paulo backline to pull back for former Manchester City striker Jô to smash in from close range.

Atlético doubled their lead after the break as Réver met Ronaldinho’s cross with a header to make it 2-0.

São Paulo secured a consolation goal as Aloísio took advantage of shoddy defending to slot past the keeper to make it 2-1 on the night.

The star of the show was undoubtedly Ronaldinho as he put the memories of his poor showing against England behind him to control this game with his array of passes and flicks.

The win gets Atlético off to a great start in Group 3 whereas São Paulo are now picking up the pieces and will have to improve to qualify.
