America Mineiro were stunned by Araxá in a 2-1 loss as Fabricio Carvalho and Thiago Marin overturned a Fabio Junior strike.
Carvalho opened the scoring for Araxá, sweeping past the keeper from the edge of the box before Junior levelled proceedings with a close range header just before the break.
Mirin grabbed the winner with a sensational volley from 20 yards to send Araxá to the top of the league.
