Napoli defender Bruno Uvini has moved to Serie A strugglers Siena on loan until the end of the season.

Uvini, 21, moved to Napoli last August from São Paulo after spending the 2011-2012 season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur but has only made the one appearance so far since moving to Italy.

The young defender’s career has moved fast since making his São Paulo debut in 2010. He impressed all the way through the youth setup with the Brazilian giants and quickly became the captain of the Brazil under 20 team.

However, he made just nine appearances for the São Paulo first team before Tottenham took him on loan but he failed to impress in North London and they chose against making the deal permanent last summer.

Uvini was part of the Brazil Olympic team that finished runners up to Mexico in London, losing the final 2-1, and has also earned three caps for the senior national team.
