AC Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Santos are in the running to sign Robinho in January.

The club official is currently in Brazil in an attempt to sell fellow native and Rossoneri teammate Alexandre Pato.

While a deal is close with Corinthians for Pato, Robinho’s future is still unclear given the interest of numerous sides, including his former club Santos.

The Italian said: “There is the possibility of a sale to Santos.

“We haven’t been able to reach an agreement with Flamengo though, while I still don’t know about Atlético Mineiro.”

Milan are believed to want around €12million for the former Manchester City forward, but another potential problem could be Robinho’s wage demands.

The Seleção forward reportedly wants €5million a season and it is unclear whether the Peixe can match that request.
