Shakhtar Donetsk forward Willian believes his team’s draw against Borussia Dortmund in the first knockout stage of the Uefa Champions League will be a balanced affair and that they will have to be wary of the German champions.

Willian, 24, who has been linked with a move away from the Ukrainian giants in recent months, admits that Shakhtar will have to do their homework to be ready for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“They’ll be two good games, well balanced,” he told Lancenet!

“Both teams are in a good moment, both Shakhtar and Borussia. We have to study well their team, analyse the strengths and weaknesses, and get very focused on the day of the game.

Both Shakhtar and Dortmund have been two of the outstanding teams in this year’s competition so far, and the Brazilian striker thinks that the home game in the Ukraine will be key.

“We can not falter. Being the first game at home, we have to do our part and get the win.

“Borussia is a team of great quality, and it was not by chance that they finished first in the group with Real Madrid and Manchester City.”

The first leg will take place on 13th February in the Ukraine.
