Corinthians have made a €15million bid for AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato according to reports in the Italian media.

The recently crowned Club World Cup winners, who beat Chelsea in the showpiece final on Sunday, have reportedly made a substantial bid for the Rossoneri striker.

However, the offer for 50% of the player’s rights is likely to be turned down by Massimiliano Allegri’s side, according to Sky Sport Italia, as the Milanese giants are hoping to loan out the young attacker rather than sell him outright.

Pato is currently out of action until January having been blighted by a number of injures since his move to the San Siro from Internacional in 2007.

There is a chance Pato could join the Timão as the Seleção striker is said to be looking for a return to his homeland, like Milan teammate Robinho, and both he and Corinthians coach Tite are clients of agent Gilmar Veloz.
