As Lucas Moura waves farewell to São Paulo it is now time for coach Ney Franco to link on how to replace the Paris St-Germain bound forward.
Lucas, 20, who scored in São Paulo’s controversial Copa Sul-Americana victory on Wednesday, will join PSG on 29th December when he meets up at their winter training camp in Qatar and, while he will be a big miss to Franco’s team, his departure will give the coach experiment with a new formation, one that may require a ‘second’ striker
“Lucas is a different guy, he gives more speed to the attack. But tactically, the 4-4-2, I can also play very well with a ‘second’ striker.
“The board is seeking a ‘second’ striker, but our group is strong.”
The departure of Lucas will be slightly softened by the arrival of striker Aloísio, from relegated Figueirense, and right-winger Negueba, signed from Flamengo. The club are also in talks with Wallyson, of Cruzeiro, over a possible move to the Morumbi.
