Ex-Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o has praised former teammate Ronaldinho and spoke about the effect the Brazilian had on his time at the Camp Nou.
The 31-year-old is currently playing for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, where Roberto Carlos is Sporting Director, as part of an illustrious 15-year career.
Eto’o has praised Ronaldinho for his help during the four years they spent at the Catalan giants together between 2004 and 2008.
The Cameroon international said: “He [Ronaldinho] is a genius, and not just in football.
“The day I was upset, I did not play well, but when you saw him arrive in the locker room with a smile on his face, you knew he was going to roll."
The pair won two La Liga titles and one Champions League trophy during their time at Barça together, when Ronaldinho also picked up two FIFA World Player of the Year awards.
