Paris St-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has decided to leave midfielder Nenê out of the PSG squad for the match against Evian on Saturday after the Brazilian showed a poor attitude during Tuesday 2-1 victory over Porto in the Champions League.

Nenê, 31, who started the game on the bench against the Portuguese champions, entered the field in the place of Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore with two minutes to go, but Italian coach Ancelotti was not impressed by the former Santos star’s behaviour.

“He had a bad attitude against Porto. He got angry, and that’s not good. When a player has a bad attitude, I can not use him,” Ancelotti told reporters at a press conference on Friday.

The former Chelsea manager hinted that the player was annoyed at only getting two minutes playing time, but insisted that Nenê should think of the team and not himself.

“A player who is almost not played may be annoyed, but a professional should think about their partners and have an attitude to help the team.”

And the coach revealed that he will only recall the winger if he changes his attitude.

“Getting angry with me is no problem, but he has no right to unnerve everyone. If he changes his attitude we can go back to calling him,” concluded the Italian.
