Since making his debut for the Brazilian national team in 2010, Santos forward Neymar has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in world football, but the player believes he has changed a lot since that first game against USA.

Back in the US for Wednesday’s friendly against Columbia in New Jersey, the 20-year-old reflected on his progress since that game. He told reporters:

“I’ve changed a lot. Not only in appearance, as well as age. Within the field I’m a lot more experienced. I grew more as a player too. These things change.”

Back then most of the talk was about the famous mohawk haircut, which Neymar has since got rid of, but it was the fashion in 2010 when he made his debut:

“I’m with the hair a little more normal now. The mohawk scored enough. It was a crazy idea of mine and André which became fashionable. Everyone today still talks about the mohawk. Mohawk speaks more than me,” he joked.
