Fluminense goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri is delighted with the club’s title win but also revealed his disappointment at boyhood club Palmeiras facing relegation.

Cavalieri helped his side seal the Brasileirão title on Sunday with a 3-2 win over the Alviverde at the Braga Municipal Stadium, where he spent six years.
The result means 18th-placed Palmeiras are now seven points adrift of safety with just three games remaining.
The former Liverpool keeper said: “I am saddened. Everyone knows the story that I had there.
“Palmeiras is the club that formed me as an athlete and person. I experienced the situation in 2002 [relegation] and I know how hard it is.
“They have the chance to escape so I’ll keep hoping for them as they are a club which I have great affection for."
Cavalieri, who left Palmeiras for the Premier League in 2008, has celebrated Fluminense’s achievement and reserved special praise for those working off the field.
He added: “We have always been aware of what we wanted and our potential.
“Congratulations to the planning board and the coaching staff for managing the group, which is not easy.
“All players had the opportunity to act, and always maintained the level of commitment and focus of the players. We deserve it."
