Barcelona’s Dani Alves has called for Santos star Neymar to join him at the Catalan club claiming that a move would help to improve the forward’s game.
But the Seleção fullback denies reports that he has put Neymar in touch with Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi.
Alves told reporters: “Obviously anybody would want to play for Barcelona. If Barcelona are interested in Neymar and if next month, next year or in two years he comes, I don’t know.
“I hope he does come here because. as I’ve already said, he would get better as a player and he would also improve the team.”
However, he did distance himself from reports that Neymar and Messi have already been in touch: “I haven’t put Neymar in contact with Leo Messi.”
Dani Alves is continuing his return from injury and is set to start in tonight’s La Liga clash against Real Mallorca as Barcelona look to put their shock defeat against Celtic behind them.
