Valenciennes defender Carlos Gil has spoke of his admiration for fellow Brazilian and Ligue 1 player Thiago Silva.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been playing in France since his move from Cruzeiro in 2011 and was recently joined in the country by Thiago Silva.
The Seleção international signed for Paris Saint-Germain for €42 million this summer, and Gil is looking forward to facing the defender in the league.
Gil said: “I have never met him in France but I admire him very much.
“I am from the city of Campos near Rio de Janeiro where he was born and I have seen him play for Fluminense.
“I am a fan of his football and the guy he is.”
The two players will come face-to-face on December 11 when current league leaders PSG travel to the Stade du Hainaut to play Valenciennes.
