The agent of Corinthians midfielder Paulinho is set to arrive in Italy this week, reportedly for talks with Inter Milan.

Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni is known to be a fan of the 24-year-old and he’s given the green light to a possible bid so and a January offer may be on the horizon.

Corinthians president Mario Gobbi has recently ruled out selling the player, at least until the end of the 2013 Copa Libertadores.

Gobbi said: “We renewed his contract and it was big for Paulinho, who is playing good football and is followed in the market. There is no intention to sell Paulinho. This is out of the question. We go through to July and we agreed a contract for him to stay here, not to sell him.”

However, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations will take place at some stage over the next few days.

The Nerazzurri are keen on signing the Brazil international but it is also being claimed that the representative has also spoken to French giants Paris Saint-Germain recently.
