Paulo Henrique Ganso could be set to make a long-awaited return from a hamstring injury in the next few weeks after tests revealed the muscle to be fully repaired.

Ganso, 22, will now undergo a isokinetic evaluation to discover any possible deficiency in the muscle and, then, will be free to start training once more ahead of his São Paulo debut.

“With these test results we enter into an important phase of the rehabilitation process – the final stretch,” said the club’s physiotherapist Luiz Rosan.

The player himself then added:”I’m feeling really good and I cannot wait to get started. Day after day of physiotherapy is very tiring and repetitive, but I am feeling closer to my return with each passing day.

“The team is going through a good spell and I want to contribute in this final stage of the season.”

Since signing for São Paulo at the end of August, the club have been very careful to ensure that all updates on the star’s status emerge through the club’s official website and press-conferences, to avoid undue speculation over the injury-prone midfielder’s fitness.
