Real Madrid boss José Mourinho has revealed he is very happy to see the in-form Kaká playing for the Seleção.

The 30-year-old playmaker has enjoyed a turn in fortune recently, following a difficult summer of assessing his future and thinking about a move away from Madrid.

Kaká had been reduced to a supporting role at the Bernabéu under José Mourinho, due to a number of injuries and a loss of form.

However, the former Ballon D’Or winner has recently hit a rich vein of form, which earned him his first call up to the national side for two years.

José Mourinho said: “I am very pleased with the return of Kaká in Brazil.”

The Los Blancos boss thinks international selection is important for club football, as it is good for players’ morale.

He added: “For us, it is very important. It means that they are quality players and that is important, joining their countries.

“Certain players are not key players for Real Madrid but are in international selection. I have a high regard for this and I appreciate the fact that they feel good.”

Kaká has scored during both of Brazil’s recent friendlies, against Iraq and Japan, and his return has been praised by numerous members of the Seleção’s players and coaching staff.
