Santos legend Pepe has claimed that Neymar would only be a second half substitute in his all time Santos team.
Pepe, who scored 405 goals for Santos, told reporters: “I do not know in which postion, but maybe get in the second half because Dorval, Mengálvio, Coutinho, Pepe and Pele formed an attack that was marked in history.
“The football is very, very high quality, would be a fight to get my position."
Despite this, Pepe had much praise for the Santos star: “I did 405, [Neymar] will take a while to reach me. But I"m a fan of his. He and Messi are the best anyway."
Neymar has been compared by the Santos faithful to Pepe who played in the left side of the attack, also wearing the No. 11.
The Seleção forward has played 199 games for the club, scoring 118 goals and has been the target of much speculation over a possible move to Europe.
