Santos star Neymar feels that he has become a more mature person since the birth of his son David last year.

The 20-year-old attacker was accused of indiscipline in the early stages of his career, but he has not made any headlines recently as his behaviour has improved.

Neymar told Globo:”I have become much more mature. I did not know how to behave. But then I told myself that if I was man enough to make someone pregnant, I had to take my responsibility and act like a man.

“I have learned a lot from it and I am still learning things. My son David is the biggest joy in my life.”

The skilful forward confuses and fools his opponents with many tricks, dribbles and individual actions on the pitch, but the Seleção international stressed that all he does is improvise.

He added: “I don’t know where the talent comes from. It all started when I was a kid and improvised a bit. At home, I put some chairs and tables in the room and tried to dodge them.

“I’m just following my intuition out there. I do what feels right at a particular moment. Obviously, there are a few things as well that I’ve worked on the training pitch.”

Neymar is continually being linked with a move to Europe, with clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United all keeping tabs on him.

However, he is honouring his contract at his boyhood club until at least 2014 before making the move to a bigger club.
