Chelsea midfielder Oscar has admitted playing in the Champions League will be “a dream come true” should he make his debut against Juventus on Wednesday.

The Blues, who beat Bayern Munich in the final last season, have been drawn against Shakhtar Donetsk, Juventus and Danish side Nordsjælland in Group E, as the reigning champions look to retain their title.

Oscar is yet to start for the Premier League side but the youngster has been included in Roberto Di Matteo’s European squad, alongside fellow Brazilians David Luiz, Ramires and Lucas Piazón.

He said: “I have always wanted to play in the Champions League and who wouldn’t want to play for the European champions?

“It will be a dream come true to hear that famous anthem when I am out on the pitch, rather than on television.

“I am hoping it will not take me long to adapt. There is a multi-national team here with other Brazilians and Latin players, so they will help me through with their past experience.”

Oscar, who has made three substitute appearances so far this season, recently said that the lure of playing in Europe was a factor in his decision to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
