Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro insists the club are determined to secure their first win of the Premier League campaign by beating Reading today.

Spurs have dropped four points recently following two late goals, in consecutive 1-1 draws at White Hart Lane against West Brom and Norwich City.

Next up is a visit to newly-promoted Reading and the Royals have performed well on their return to the top flight with a draw against Stoke and a promising display despite a 4-2 loss at Chelsea.

Sandro, who recently returned from international duty with Brazil, believes Spurs are determined to claim their first win today.

The 23–year-old said: “It is important to get our first win this season.

“We’re all determined. Everyone has talked about the first win.

“It’s a difficult game, every game in the Premier League is tough, but we have a good team and we will try so hard to get the three points.”

Sandro made a total of 27 appearances last season, including 17 starts in the Premier League, due to suffering from calf problems.

The former Internacional player is in the Spurs squad for today’s game at the Madejski Stadium, which kicks off at 4pm.
