The Seleção boss recently announced that Valencia’s Diego Alves will start in goal for tomorrow’s friendly with South Africa.
However, the 50-year-old has used a combination of six different goalkeepers since taking over the national side in 2010, which frustrates Zetti.
The 47-year-old said: “Mano was wrong in not trusting one goalkeeper. To change goalkeepers every game eventually disrupts the serenity of the team.
“The position is still vacant and Brazil is weak in this position.
“These are quality players but they lack a sequence of games and confidence. This mode allows any test in the world of uncertainty.”
Menezes has also used Victor (Atlético Mineiro), Julio Cesar (QPR), Jefferson (Botafogo), Gabriel (Milan) and Olympic goalkeeper Rafael (Santos) as his number one.
Armelino Donizetti Quagliato, known as Zetti, played for a number of Brazilian sides during his 18-year career, such as São Paulo where he won numerous trophies, including the Série A title in 1991.
The shot-stopper also represented the Seleção during their winning 1994 FIFA World Cup tournament and has managed the likes of Juventude and Atlético Mineiro.
