The 20-year-old is the one of the most sought after players in world football, continuously linked with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

However, the Seleção international is honouring his contract with Santos and allegedly wants to remain with his boyhood club until after Brazil has hosted the World Cup, but will move to Europe after 2014.

Neymar told reporters: “I do want to play in Europe, I have never hidden that I have this dream.”

Two of Neymar’s young Brazil teammates moved to Europe this summer, with Oscar completing a £25 million move to Champions League winners Chelsea and Lucas Moura eventually joining French side Paris Saint-Germain for €44 million.

Neymar was recently at the centre of rumors suggesting Manchester United had lodged a £38 million deadline day bid for him, which turned out to be false.

However, the young forward, who has scored 111 goals in 185 appearances for Santos, could potentially move there in the future.

“The time has come for Oscar and Lucas, and the day will come where I will follow. But it is still a little early,” he added.

“I am under contract with Santos until 2014 but I want to go after that. In the meantime, I will watch my friends play on TV.”

Neymar has a reported £50m buy-out clause on his remaining contract with the Peixe.
