Fluminense forward Fred has expressed his disappointment at once again being left out of Brazil"s squad for their upcoming friendlies against South Africa and China.

The former Lyon striker"s last appearance for the Seleção was in a friendly against Costa Rica last October.

The 27-year-old has scored nine goals in twelve Brasileirão games this season, but unfortunatly that has not been enough to earn him a place in coach Mano Menezes" 22-man squad.

"I"m not even thinking about the Seleção whilst Mano"s there," Fred told reporters.

"Since that game against Mexico [last October] he was without a centre forward, so he chose Lucas to play with his back to goal. I was on the bench and never ended up coming on. From that moment I realised that Mano didn"t like my work.

"I"m a striker who lives to score goals, which is what I"ve been doing.

"I respect the decision, but whilst Mano is in charge, I no longer have any expectations of returning to the squad."
