Chelsea midfielder Ramires was in good spirits on Tuesday as he joked with media about his new team-mate, Oscar.

Ramires, 25, has warned his young compatriot to prepare a song as he will soon face his initiation as a Chelsea player – singing in-front of the whole squad.

On his own arrival, the former Benfica and Cruzeiro midfielder had chosen to sing País Tropical by the singer Jorge Benjor.

“I told him to prepare some music. He’ll need to sing in front of the other Chelsea players,” Ramires informed the media ranks.

“Whatever he needs, we’ll help, because it’s no mystery to us. If he played in the seleção and at Inter, he will have no problem and will soon receive the applause of the fans.”

Oscar will be joining an established Brazilian community at Chelsea, with Ramires and colleague David Luiz already amongst the first-team, whilst youngster Lucas Piazon is set to make his first strides at that level this season.

Ramires was talking after his recall to the national side, who will play Sweden in Gothenburg this Wednesday.
