Flamengo will play Fluminense in the Taça Rio final after beating Volta Redonda 1-0 at the Maracanã.

In what was a tense and even match it took a penalty in the 80th minute to decide the game. Caio was felled by Glauber and the referee pointed straight to the penalty spot. Júnior hit the penalty high leaving Lugão no chance.

Volta Redonda tried to pressure an equaliser in the dying minutes but Flamengo held on. The result means a mouth water Fla Flu with be played in the final next weekend.
