Dani Alves has admitted that his Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi is better player than his compatriot Neymar.
At the age of 20, Neymar has often earned comparisons with Messi, with Brazil legend Pelé recently stating that the Santos forward is a more ”complete” player than the three-time Ballon d’Or winner.
However, despite rating Neymar highly, Alves believes no footballer in the world is as good as Messi.
”Neymar is a true phenomenon. However, for now, any player who is compared to Messi comes out badly,” the Brazil right-back told reporters.
”He has a bright future ahead of him, but Messi is the undisputed best at the moment. His stats are simply amazing.”
