Vasco 1-3 Cruzeiro
Cruzeiro moved into first place in the Campeonato Brasileiro after defeating Vasco 3-1 in a top-of-the-table clash.
Walter Montillo fired the Raposa in front five minutes before half-time, and Wellington Paulista made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.
Rodolfo pegged one back for Vasco in the 65th minute, but Anselmo Ramon sealed the win for Cruzeiro ten minutes before time.
Atlético Mineiro 5-1 Náutico
Atlético Mineiro moved into second place by virtue of their 5-1 home thumping of Náutcio.
The Galo’s goals came courtesy of Bernard (2′), Ronaldinho (35′), Danilinho (36′, 61′) and Escudero (47′), while Araújo netted the only goal for Náutico in the 12th minute.
Portuguesa 1-0 São Paulo
Ivan scored in the 11th minute to help Portuguesa beat their local rivals São Paulo 1-0 at the Estádio do Canindé.
The result moves Portuguesa up to tenth, while São Paulo remain in sixth.
