Reports in Italy are suggesting that Roma will not take up their option to sign Marquinho on a permanent basis.
The 25-year-old joined Giallorossi on loan from Fluminense in January with the option to be signed outright for €4.5 million.
Roma have until June 25 to make the deal permanent, but according to TMW, Marquinho does not feature in the club’s newly appointed coach Zdenek Zeman’s plans.
However, the Brazilian might still be plying his trade in Italy next season, as a number of Serie A sides are rumoured to be interested in the versatile midfielder.
