Recently released from his contract at Flamengo, Ronaldinho has joined Brazilian Série A side Atlético Mineiro.
Ronaldinho, 32, will join the club on a six-month contract worth just over €100,000 a month in a bid to bring the Brasileirão title to Belo Horizonte.
The deal was done quickly, with Ronaldinho’s brother and agent Assis a former colleague of Galo manager Cuca.
“I want to play well, to help Atlético-MG to success little-by-little and hopefully to be a champion. I will only gain the confidence of the fans by winning and playing well,” Ronaldinho said at his unveiling.
“I returned to Brazil to win titles and now I have another chance. I’m focused on that and just want to be champion with Atlético in these six months of employment.
“What happened with Flamengo is in the past. Now it’s a new phase in my career and my future is with Atlético.”
