Former-Barcelona defender Edmilson has encouraged compatriots Neymar and Thiago Silva to join the club in the future, should the opportunity arise.
Neymar, 20, has long been a target for the Catalan giants, whilst Thiago Silva has emerged as the leading candidate to replace the ageing Carles Puyol.
The retired defender also used Lionel Messi"s ascent to the top, learning from greats, as a path for Neymar to follow.
“Neymar would fit in at Barcelona, no doubt," Edmilson told Com Radio. “He has things of both Ronaldinho and of [Lionel] Messi. To make history, he needs to move to Europe, though.
“Messi is an intelligent kid. He learned from Ronaldinho, Deco and [Samuel] Eto"o, and patiently waited for his moment.
“For me, Thiago Silva is the best centre back in the world. If possible, I"d recommend him to join Barcelona."
