The 20-year-old has a contract with the Peixe that runs until July 2014, but the forward is now continually being linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Menezes recently stated that he believes Neymar would be able to fulfil his potential if he moved to Europe, but the 2011 FIFA Puskas Award winner insists he"s happy at Santos.

“Everyone has their own opinion," Brazil"s number 11 told Lance. “I"m happy at Santos, I want to stay here for a little while longer.

“When I think it"s time to go, I will, but it"s not the time. I said I"ll stay until 2014.

“I"m playing and I"m happy. For the last three years there"s been talk of me leaving the club. They want to send me away, but I want to stay."

Neymar also admitted that he seeks advice from his compatriot Ronaldo, who was once a player of Real Madrid.

“I"ve spoken with Ronaldo a lot, I told him that I don"t think this is the right moment [to play in Europe] and that’s why I stayed at Santos."
